Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Nursing Manager for the Levine Cancer Institute – Medical Oncology Pineville. You will lead oncology nursing teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with physicians to deliver coordinated patient care across southern Charlotte and northern South Carolina.

The role requires BSN, current RN licensure, and prior oncology nursing and management experience, with a sign-on bonus eligibility noted.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• Minimum two years of Oncology nursing experience preferred.
• Previous management experience.
• BSN required; RN without BSN must enroll in BSN within 1 year of hire/transfer.
• BLS required; professional certification within 1 year of eligibility.
• Additional education or certifications may be required within the department.

Responsibilities

• Supports the manager utilizing systematic approaches to enhance nursing practice and delivery of care.
• Assists with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel.
• Coordinates communication through regular staff meetings and huddles to exchange information.
• Collaborates to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and hospital policies.
• Rounds on patients, teammates, and physicians to assess care quality and operations.
• Delegates care to appropriate staff within policy parameters.
• Identifies outcomes to guide continuity of care and operations.
• Evaluates progress toward goals and disseminates information to the team.
• Performs nursing care, assists with treatments and medications as needed.
• Manages patient flow and staffing through assessment of volume and acuity needs.
