Job summary

Boston Medical Center South in Brockton, MA, seeks an experienced Oncology Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team. You will deliver comprehensive adult cancer care, from clinic visits to survivorship, working closely with medical oncology, infusion, nursing, pharmacy, and ancillary services in a community-based setting tied to an academic medical center.

The ideal candidate has oncology experience, strong clinical judgment, and a commitment to diverse, underserved populations.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Board certification as AGNP or FNP.
• Active MA RN and NP license or ability to obtain prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care to adult oncology patients, including assessment and management of cancer-related conditions.
• Conduct new and follow-up patient visits, including chemotherapy/toxicity checks and survivorship visits.
• Collaborate with medical oncologists to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging as appropriate.
• Prescribe medications and supportive therapies per guidelines.
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, options, and care plans.
• Coordinate care with infusion, radiation, surgical oncology, and palliative teams.
• Document encounters accurately in the EMR and participate in QA initiatives.
