Job summary

Boston Medical Center South in Brockton, MA seeks a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Medical Oncologist to join a multidisciplinary team in a community-based setting closely affiliated with an academic medical center. The physician will deliver comprehensive cancer care across diagnosis, treatment planning, active therapy, and survivorship.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology
• Completion of ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency and Hematology/Oncology fellowship
• Eligible for medical licensure in Massachusetts
• DEA registration (or eligibility)

Responsibilities

• Provide care to adult oncology patients, including evaluation, diagnosis and management of cancer
• Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans (chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies)
• Conduct new patient consultations and follow-ups, manage response and toxicity
• Collaborate with radiation, surgical oncology, infusion, palliative care and ancillary teams
• Interpret imaging, pathology, and lab data
• Participate in tumor boards and case conferences
• Supervise and collaborate with NPs/PAs and trainees
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, options and goals of care
• Engage in quality improvement, program development, and potential research
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation
