Job summary

Northwestern Medicine’s CDH Medical Oncology unit seeks a Registered Nurse for part-time night shifts (7pm-7:30am) with rotating weekends. The role covers inpatient oncology care, chemotherapy administration, and symptom management for adults.

The candidate should hold an Illinois RN license, BLS, and may have ADN with a BSN commitment within three years. Oncology experience is preferred; competitive benefits are offered and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Illinois Registered Nurse license is required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) is acceptable if there is a commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, develops an individualized plan, coordinates care and evaluates progress.
• Directs care and determines the use of any assistants involved in direct patient care.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and staff; documents the plan and outcomes.
• Participates in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects.
• Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions and documents progress in the health record.
