Job summary

UVA Health in Charlottesville seeks a Nurse Manager to lead the Oncology Nurse Navigation Program, guiding Oncology Nurse Navigators across cancer specialties and driving standardization, growth, and operational excellence.

This hybrid leadership role partners with clinic managers, physicians, APPs, and care coordination teams to enhance patient experience and expand navigation services across the Cancer Service Line.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• Master's degree in a related field within 5 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching, mentorship, and operational support to Oncology Nurse Navigators.
• Meet with clinic managers, nurse leaders, physicians, APPs, and care coordination teams.
• Review workflows, documentation practices, and performance metrics for consistency and efficiency.
• Support regulatory compliance initiatives and ensure navigation documentation is completed in Epic.
• Address navigator-related issues and remove barriers to care coordination.
• Conduct site visits across oncology locations to build partnerships and collaboration.
• Lead program development, workflow redesign, and expansion initiatives across the Cancer Service Line.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve access to resources and support services for oncology patients.
