Job summary

UVA Health is seeking a Nurse Manager for the Oncology Nurse Navigation Program, overseeing navigators across multiple oncology services. The role blends clinical credibility with leadership to standardize practices, grow the program, and enhance patient experience across care locations.

The position requires strong collaboration with physicians, APPs, and nursing leadership, plus onsite and regional engagement in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

BSN required; MSN/related field preferred within 5 years of hire.
3 years RN experience in patient care required.
Virginia RN license required; AHA BLS required.
Driver's license required for managers with multi-location ops; specialty certification at hire or within 3 years.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership, coaching, and operational support to Oncology Nurse Navigators across the Cancer Service Line.
Meet with clinic managers, leaders, physicians, APPs, and care coordination teams to align navigation services with needs.
Review workflows and metrics to identify opportunities for consistency and efficiency.
Support regulatory compliance and ensure navigation documentation is completed in Epic.
Address navigator-related issues and serve as primary escalation resource for the team.
Conduct site visits across oncology locations to strengthen partnerships with local leaders.
Lead program development, workflow redesign, and expansion initiatives.
Collaborate with stakeholders to improve access to resources for oncology patients.
