Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Registered Nurse Coordinator for the Lank Cancer Center at Needham. The hybrid, day-shift role focuses on guiding patients through the oncology journey with education, coordination, and advocacy.

You will collaborate with BIDMC Boston and BID Needham teams, support treatment planning, and participate in rounds and quality improvement to advance outpatient cancer care.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 3–5 years of nursing experience.
• Oncology nursing experience.
• Proficiency with EMR and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families on chemotherapy and immunotherapy; provide guidance and clear communication.
• Prepare patients for treatment initiation including pre-treatment staging, labs, and venous access placement.
• Serve as a clinical liaison between BIDMC Boston and BID Needham providers; support physicians and nurse practitioners.
• Coordinate referrals and partnerships with VNA, Hospice, home care, and related services.
• Assist with pre-authorization processes; ensure scheduling and data collection for rounds and QA.
