Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking an Oncology Nurse Navigator who provides individualized support to patients and caregivers to overcome barriers to care. This registered nurse will coordinate across radiology, pulmonology, thoracic surgery, oncology, and primary care to ensure timely evaluation and follow‑up.

The role requires a BSN with at least three years of clinical nursing experience; an MSN or DNP may substitute for BSN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
• Minimum of three years of related clinical nursing experience.
• MSN or DNP may be considered in lieu of BSN.
• Current RN licensure by SC Board or compact state; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Navigate patients with incidental pulmonary nodules from identification through diagnostic resolution.
• Coordinate care across radiology, pulmonology, thoracic surgery, oncology and primary care.
• Apply evidence‑based guidelines to ensure timely follow‑up and seamless care coordination.
• Serve as a liaison among multidisciplinary teams to support informed decision‑making.
