Medical University of South Carolina Health is seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse Navigator to guide patients through cancer care, coordinating with physicians and care teams to ensure timely, high-quality services. The role emphasizes patient advocacy, education, and barrier removal throughout the care continuum.

Responsibilities include facilitating referrals, coordinating diagnostics and treatment planning, and serving as the primary link among patients, families, and the care team.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of three years of related clinical nursing experience.
• MSN or DNP may substitute for BSN.
• SC RN licensure or compact state required.
• AHA BLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Guide patients and caregivers through the oncology care continuum, especially at diagnosis and initial treatment planning.
• Provide education and support to promote informed decisions and understanding of treatment plans.
• Identify barriers to care and coordinate resources to overcome them.
• Facilitate timely access to consultations, diagnostics, treatment, and supportive services.
• Serve as a key link among patients, families, physicians, and care teams.
