Job summary

New England Cancer Specialists seeks a skilled RN Care Manager (Nurse Navigator) to work with physician-led teams at Central Maine Oncology Lewiston, ME. Oncology experience preferred; ED/Acute Care applicants encouraged and training available.

You will coordinate patient care, assess needs, and maintain effective communication with physicians, staff and patients while supporting treatment plans. Travel is rare and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Licensed Maine RN required.
• 2-5 years nursing experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• Hematology/Oncology experience preferred.
• OCNCertification preferred or achievable within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care with referring physicians, patients and caregivers.
• Conduct patient assessments and assist physicians.
• Respond to patient calls and intervene as needed.
• Follow up with patients to ensure treatment adherence.
• Coordinate blood draws and related procedures.
• Ensure follow-up appointments and tests are scheduled.
• Maintain high standards of patient care documentation.
