Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Oncology Nurse Clinician to join our multidisciplinary team in Illinois. The role focuses on coordinating care using the nursing process and providing exceptional patient education and support throughout treatment and transitions of care.

Ideal candidates will have an accredited RN program, IL license, BLS certification, and 5 years of recent nursing experience; BSN and Oncology Certified Nurse are preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited RN program with IL license.
• Current nursing experience within the past 5 years.
• BLS Certification.

Responsabilités

• Assesses and reassesses the patient and family for ongoing care needs and initiates referrals to appropriate resources.
• Coordinates multidisciplinary care and schedules new patient appointments.
• Collaborates with physicians and staff to develop an effective plan of care.
• Educates patients and families regarding diagnosis, therapies, and testing.
• Supports transitions of care and communication within the care team.
