Compass Oncology in Vancouver, WA is hiring a New Patient Coordinator (Full-Time, 40 hours M-F) to serve as the patient’s liaison among the practice, hospital, support services and payors. Location: Vancouver Cancer Center; Salary: $19.52-$30.95 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 4+ years of directly related experience in medical office, coding, billing or patient advocacy.
• Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office Outlook & Word.

Responsibilities

• Prior to a patient’s first appointment, obtain basic chart information.
• Coordinate physician referrals and oncology-related appointments, resolve insurance issues.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain pre-authorizations.
• Educate patients on insurance benefits and co-payments; assist with financial resources.
• Maintain accurate patient demographics and documentation in the chart.
