Job summary

Amgen seeks a Medical Science Liaison in Oncology to cover the DC, VA, MD territory including Washington DC, VA, Baltimore and Western MD. The MSL will engage Oncology Healthcare Decision Makers to communicate the scientific platform and data, with a focus on prostate cancer and value discussions for payers.

The role supports sponsored research, trains speakers, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to advance Amgen’s scientific platform and patient care.

Qualifications

• Doctorate, Master with 3 years Medical Affairs experience, or Bachelor with 5 years Medical Affairs experience.
• 3+ years experience in Scientific/Medical Affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company.
• Oncology and/or Hematology therapeutic area expertise.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and economic value information to payers and formulary decision makers.
• Identify and train members of Amgen’s speakers’ bureau and ensure they are updated on new data.
• Respond to requests for investigator sponsored research proposals.
• Support Amgen sponsored research.
• Provide scientific support for commercial, corporate accounts, and others as needed.
• Foster scientific relationships and mentor MSLs.
• Lead or participate in committees or projects to support MSL strategies.
