Job summary

107 The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Hospital Authority is seeking a Medical Physicist for the Oncology: Radiation department at Atrium Health Cabarrus. The role covers delivery of treatment planning, calibration of therapy machines, QA, data entry in treatment planning systems, and collaboration with Medical Engineers to troubleshoot, implement new technology, and ensure patient safety.

Applicants should hold a Master’s in Medical Physics, complete a CAMPEP-accredited residency, and pursue ABMP/ABR

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Medical Physics.
• Completion of a CAMPEP-accredited residency is required.
• ABMP/ABR/CCPM certification must be obtained within 4 years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver non-standard, standard and complex treatment planning and techniques.
• Calibrate therapy machines and measure beam data for planning purposes.
• Lead troubleshooting with Medical Engineers and QA on equipment.
• Perform radiation surveys and enter data in treatment planning systems.
• Assist commissioning of new therapy equipment and implement new techniques.
