Job summary

Atrium Health Levine Cancer is hiring a Staff Medical Physicist to support clinical services at its Northern Area radiation therapy clinics, including Cabarrus, Stanly, and University City locations. You will join a team of physicists, dosimetrists, and physicians dedicated to delivering high-quality radiation therapy across a network.

The role requires a Master's in Medical Physics and 3 years of oncology medical physics experience, with ABMP/ABR/CCPM certification in scope.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Medical Physics or related field.
• Typically 3 years of experience in a Medical Physicist Oncology position.
• Licensure/Certification: ABMP, ABR, or CCPM as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Performs delivery of non-standard, standard and complicated treatment planning including SRS.
• Calibrates therapy machines and performs QA on equipment.
• Writes specifications and commissions therapy equipment and accessories; oversees testing.
• Develops and maintains a QA program for modalities and imaging devices.
• Collaborates with physicians on data analysis, planning and protocols.
• Monitors patient dose data and validates dose calculations in planning systems.
• Provides education lectures and radiation safety training to staff.
