Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is seeking a qualified medical coder to ensure accurate coding and billing across oncology services. You will assign CPT, ICD-10-CM and HCPCS codes and ensure timely submission.

The role requires proficiency with EMR systems (Centricity, OncoEMR), attention to detail, and the ability to work remotely as needed. A high school diploma and coding certifications are required, with 1+ year of oncology coding preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Certifications: CPC, CPC-A, CCS, or CCS-P required within one year of hire.
• Experience: 1+ year coding in medical oncology, radiation oncology, or multispecialty coding.
• EMR: Centricity and OncoEMR experience; payer policies knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Ensure services are coded with correct CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM codes.
• Process billing in accordance with payer guidelines.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and update policies as needed.
• Collaborate with practice leadership and billing teams.
