Job summary

Illinois Cancer Specialists is seeking a Medical Assistant in Elgin, IL. This full-time role supports physicians and clinicians with patient care in a clinical setting, helps manage exams and procedures, and promotes efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2 years experience as a Medical Assistant.
• CPR Certification required (same as BLS).
• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred).
• Phlebotomy skills highly desired.
• Oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide collaborative nursing support.
• Maintain efficient patient flow.
• Assists physicians with exams and procedures as requested.
• Administer appropriate injections.
• Take vitals.
• Answers patient telephone calls for referral to physician or nurse/pharmacist.
• Phones in prescriptions and makes other patient calls as directed by physicians and RN.
• Other duties as requested or assigned.
