Job summary

Illinois Cancer Specialists in Arlington Heights, IL is hiring a Medical Assistant (Full-Time). The role supports physicians and clinicians in patient care, ensuring smooth flow, exams, and procedures. Clinical and clerical tasks, including appointment management, are part of the daily responsibilities.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED, 2 years of Medical Assistant experience, CPR/BLS certification, and preferably CMA certification. Oncology experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 2 years of Medical Assistant experience.
• CPR certification required, same as BLS.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Phlebotomy skills highly desired.
• Oncology experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and offices as needed.
• Assist patients with scheduling in the electronic system.
• Provide collaborative nursing support.
• Maintain efficient patient flow throughout visits.
• Assist with procedures as requested and administer injections.
• Take vitals and respond to patient calls for referrals.
• Support scheduling of patient appointments.
