Under direct supervision, you will assist with exams and procedures, take vitals, administer injections, and respond to patient calls. Oncology experience is preferred, CPR/BLS certification required, and CMA certification is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Two years experience as a Medical Assistant.
  • CPR Certification required.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred).
  • Phlebotomy skills highly desired.
  • Oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Escort patients to exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment room as appropriate.
  • Provide collaborative nursing support.
  • Maintain efficient patient flow.
  • Assist physicians with exams and procedures as requested.
  • Administer injections as appropriate.
  • Take vital signs.
  • Answer patient calls for referrals.
  • Place prescriptions and communicate with physicians and RN as directed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Medical Assistant

Part-Time Hours as Needed
Hourly Rate: $19.00-$21.00

Under direct supervision, assists physicians and clinicians with patient care duties in a clinical environment. Promotes efficient patient flow and patient care, i.e. exams, and procedures. Performs clinic support tasks including miscellaneous clerical tasks, answering phones, and maintaining physician’s schedule. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

radiation, medical preparations and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment may occur.

Responsibilities
  • Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment room as appropriate.
  • Provide collaborative nursing support.
  • Maintain efficient patient flow.
  • Assists physicians with exams and procedures as requested.
  • Administer appropriate injections.
  • Take vitals.
  • Answers patient telephone calls for referral to physician or nurse/pharmacist.
  • Phones in prescriptions and makes other patient calls as directed by physicians and RN.
  • Other duties as requested or assigned.
Qualifications

High School diploma or GED

2 years experience as a Medical Assistant

CPR Certification required same as BLS

Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)

Phlebotomy skills highly desired

Oncology experience preferred
