Job summary

Jefferson Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support physicians in exams, diagnostic procedures, and patient care. You will manage patient flow, assist with EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, and vital signs, while ensuring HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation.

The role requires HS diploma, MA certification within 6 months, and BLS certification within 90 days. Work is onsite at Jefferson University Physicians facilities in Philadelphia.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with medical office procedures.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and verify proper identification.
• Perform and document vital signs and medical history.
• Assist physicians with examinations and diagnostic procedures including EKGs and venipuncture.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
• Order clinical supplies to maintain inventory and smooth operations.
