Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in patient assessment, examinations and treatment. Responsibilities include patient flow management, EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, vitals, and maintaining supplies within the office.

The role requires HS Diploma, Medical Assistant certification within 6 months of hire, and BLS within 90 days. Experience in a physician office is preferred. Location: Philadelphia, PA, on-site.

Responsibilities

• Interact with co-workers, visitors and staff with Jefferson's values.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure proper identification.
• Perform and document vital signs, medical history and care quality measures.
• Maintain and document IT system usage within scope of practice.
• Assist physicians with examinations and diagnostic procedures (EKG, venipuncture, injections).
• Adhere to HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
• Order clinical supplies to maintain inventory and smooth operations.
