Tennessee Oncology in Nashville is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support nursing staff during treatment and patient flow. You will perform vitals, document care, and prepare exam rooms, contributing to a patient-centered clinic.

The role emphasizes accuracy in EMR documentation, communication with patients and the care team, and adherence to TO policies. A MA training program or experience is required, with BLS within 3 months.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant Training Program or 6 months of MA experience.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred (CMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA).

Mansioni

• Measure patient height/weight and vital signs.
• Screen for pain, distress and depression scores per visit.
• Prepare patients for examination and promote provider workflow.
• Review medications, allergies and update EMR accordingly.
• Assist with injections, port access and specimen collection.
• Assist with prescription refills and phone triage under supervision.
• Assist with insurance prior authorizations and referrals as directed.
• Stock exam rooms and maintain supplies daily.
