The position demands a high school diploma (or equivalent) and a Medical Assistant program certificate is preferred. Certification in BCLS is required within 3 months of hire, with entry-level experience

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent. Certificate of graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• 0-3 years experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant (entry level).
• Current BCLS certification required within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Record patient data prior to physician visits (vital signs, height, weight, allergies, meds).
• Obtain necessary patient records before treatment or procedures.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms; order supplies as needed.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures as requested.
• Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections as delegated.
