US Oncology Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinicians in a clinical setting. The role emphasizes efficient patient flow, accurate data collection, and coordination of exams and procedures.

Responsibilities include room preparation, patient record management, phlebotomy-related tasks, and adherence to infection control protocols. A high school diploma or equivalent is required with preference for formal Medical Assistant certification and 3+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certificate of graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred.
• Minimum three years experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant.

Responsabilités

• Escort patients to and from exam rooms and manage patient flow.
• Record patient data including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
• Obtain necessary patient records prior to treatment or procedures.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies as needed.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures as requested.
• Administer injections as delegated by RN or physician.
• Maintain exam/treatment room disinfection protocols.
• Respond to patient calls and perform administrative duties as requested.
• Notify nurse/physician of abnormal vitals or important patient information.
• Schedule tests and manage orders under provider direction.
