Job summary

Alabama Oncology – Grandview is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to support the physicians and clinical team with administrative, clinical, and clerical duties. The position focuses on preparing for patient visits, coordinating tests, maintaining records, and ensuring a high-quality patient experience across multiple clinical areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of office experience preferred.
• Demonstrates professionalism and compassion in interactions with patients and team.

Responsibilities

• Administer injections as directed.
• Room patients and address their needs during visits.
• Assist with phlebotomy triage and coordinate laboratory needs.
• Coordinate diagnostic tests and services.
• Prepare patient charts and packets for appointments.
• Maintain accurate patient charting and documentation.
• Coordinate and complete Oncotype testing orders.
• Schedule surgeries and other patient services.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments and communicate details.
