Grandview Medical Center - Birmingham, AL is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care under a clinician's supervision. You will assist with procedures, maintain exam rooms, handle patient intake, and help ensure efficient clinic operations.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, preparing rooms, coordinating referrals, scheduling, and communicating effectively with patients and staff. Completion of a MA program is preferred; externship experience also considered.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical office procedures and patient care techniques.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited school preferred.
• 0–1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or externship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with non-invasive medical procedures and taking vital signs.
• Prepares and cleans exam rooms before visits and procedures.
• Performs patient intake duties and documents information as directed.
• Coordinates referrals, schedules appointments, and verifies insurance.
• Maintains daily logs and supports clinic operations.
• Educates patients on medications and health topics.
• Maintains regular attendance and adheres to policies.
