Job summary

US Oncology Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinicians in a busy oncology/hematology clinic. You will help with patient flow, collect vitals and patient data, and prepare exam rooms for procedures.

The role requires a High school diploma and MA experience; certification is preferred. Responsibilities include assisting with exams, injections and administrative tasks, while adhering to the US Oncology Compliance Program and company standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to assist physicians with patient care duties in a clinical setting.
• Record patient data prior to physician visits, including vitals, measurements, allergies, and meds.
• Experience with phlebotomy is preferred but not required; may be required per state rules.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and physician offices as needed.
• Record vital signs, height, weight and allergy information.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures as requested.
• Administer injections when delegated by RN or physician.
• Maintain infection control and room disinfection protocols.
• Respond to patient calls and perform clerical duties as requested.
