Job summary

UW Health in Madison is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) to support oncology clinics. The role includes taking vitals, addressing patient needs, assisting with procedures and exams, and promoting wellness in a compassionate, patient-family centered environment.

Typical schedule is full-time with shifts Mon-Fri, 7:30 AM–5:15 PM, with benefits including health/dental insurance, PTO, retirement plans, parental leave, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program is required or licensure as an LPN.
• Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or an Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program.
• CCMA certification as a UWH employee or acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program - Accelerated.
• One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA certification.
• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Join oncology specialists recognized for delivering cancer care.
• Take vitals, note patients' needs and concerns, and assist with clinic procedures and exams.
• Provide quality care in a compassionate, patient-family centered environment.
