Job summary

MultiCare Cancer Institute is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) to join the clinic team in Washington. The role collaborates with physicians and APPs to manage patient flow, perform clinical tasks, collect specimens, and educate patients and families throughout the cancer care journey.

The MA-C will handle vital signs, assist with exams or treatments, and ensure accurate documentation, referrals, and records management in a fast-paced oncology setting.

Qualifications

• Washington State MA-C certification required.
• Minimum of one year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Organizing patient flow in collaboration with the front office staff.
• Interviewing patients.
• Obtaining vital signs.
• Assisting patients in preparing for exams or treatments.
• Performing specimen collection, including venipuncture.
• Administration of medications in compliance with WA DOH regulations and documented competency.
• Relaying instructions to patients and their families/caregivers.
• Sending and receiving patient medical records.
• Facilitating patient referrals.
• Preparing forms for patients.
