Job summary

The Toledo Clinic Oncology Department seeks a full-time Medical Assistant (Float) to provide clinical support across Toledo, Maumee, Oregon, and Bowling Green offices. The role covers M-F, 8:30–4:30, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus and potential additional retention bonus after one year.

Responsibilities include managing patient flow, assisting with care, preparing for visits, venipuncture, and handling lab tasks while ensuring confidentiality. Home base is a designated Toledo office.

Qualifications

• Medical assisting credential and CPR/BLS certification required.
• Credentialed CMA or RMA preferred.
• Experience assisting in clinical settings with chemotherapy support is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Control patient flow to minimize wait times in clinics.
• Assist physicians/NPs with patient care and chart prep.
• Prepare patients for visits with vitals and intake documentation.
• Perform venipuncture and assist with basic lab tests.
• Coordinate across multiple Toledo-area offices for staffing coverage.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and proper data handling.
