Job summary

Compass Oncology is seeking a Medical Assistant to float between Oregon clinics as part of the Oncology team. The role supports physicians with patient care, rooming, vitals, and clinic flow, with travel between OR locations expected.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of MA or nursing assistant experience, plus phlebotomy experience and CPR certification. Compensation ranges from $21.09 to $35.65 per hour, with final offers based on experience and internal equity.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Minimum (1-3) years of experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant, preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment room as appropriate.
• Records patient data prior to each physician visit, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
• Obtains all necessary patient records as required by physician prior to treatment or procedures.
• Prepares and stocks exam/treatment rooms and orders supplies as needed.
• Assists physicians with exams and procedures as requested.
• Administers injections as directed.
• Maintains exam/treatment room disinfection protocols.
• Processes instruments and equipment as needed.
• Answers patient telephone calls for referrals to physician or nurse/pharmacist.
• Schedules patient tests, procedures and hospital admissions; follows up on test results.
• Obtains new patient records and previous test results, x-rays, scans, etc.
• Performs other administrative duties as requested.
