Compass Oncology, the leading oncology practice in the Pacific Northwest, is seeking a Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant to support our oncology team. The role floats between West Cancer Clinic, Rose Quarter, and East Cancer Centers, assisting physicians and clinicians with patient care and managing patient flow in a fast-paced setting.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• 1–3 years of experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Escorts patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment rooms.
• Records patient data prior to each physician visit, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
• Obtains necessary patient records as required by physician before treatment or procedures.
• Prepares and stocks exam/treatment rooms and orders supplies as needed.
• Assists physicians with exams and procedures as requested.
• Administers subcutaneous and intramuscular injections.
• Maintains exam/treatment room disinfection protocols.
• Processes instruments and equipment as needed.
• Answers patient calls and referrals to physician or nurse/pharmacist.
• Schedules tests, procedures, and hospital admissions; follows up on results.
