Job summary

American Oncology Network, LLC is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support physicians across Houston-area Oncology Consultants clinics. The role involves phlebotomy, lab testing, vitals, EMR documentation, specimen handling, and assisting with procedures such as bone marrows and paracentesis as needed.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of MA experience, BLS, and a valid driver’s license for travel to multiple clinics.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED.
• BLS certification required; CPR may be implied.
• At least 1 year experience as a medical assistant with venipuncture ability.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for travel to clinics.
• Proficiency in MS Office and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with procedures and patient care in office.
• Perform phlebotomy, lab testing and specimen handling.
• Record vitals, document in EMR, and maintain logs and QA/QC.
• Schedule outside testing and referrals; support multi-site clinics.
• Prepare for procedures and assist with EKG testing where applicable.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and confidentiality at all times.
