Job summary

American Oncology Network in the United States is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant to support Oncology Consultants clinics. The role involves phlebotomy, lab testing, quality control, instrument troubleshooting, and maintaining documentation in the EMR system across multiple sites.

A valid BLS certification and a minimum of one year ambulatory medical assistant experience are required. Must be able to travel between clinics, handle vascular access procedures, and ensure compliance with

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• BLS certification required.
• One year of medical assistant experience with venipuncture required.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control procedures before patient testing.
• Perform laboratory blood work and blood draws.
• Prepare slides for evaluation and handle specimens.
• Document results in EMR and patient chart.
• Coordinate outside testing and referrals as ordered by physicians.
• Maintain test logs, QA/QC records and inventory.
