Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant - Oncology for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position in the United States. The salary range is $25.62 – $34.58 per hour, with hiring bonus may be available. Assists physicians/providers in patient care within MA scope of practice.

Essential functions include preparing patients, rooms, supplies, injections, wound care, and data entry in EMR. Requires WA MA certification and BLS on hire; interim credential accepted with CMA within 12 months.

Qualifications

• WA State MA Certification is required.
• Interim credential accepted; must obtain CMA within 12 months.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and record vital signs.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain supplies.
• Administer injections and wound care per provider orders.
• Assist in scheduling tests and follow-up appointments.
• Enter data into the EMR and maintain patient records.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Provide phone screening to appropriate clinical staff.
