Job summary

Care New England is seeking an Oncology Medical Assistant to support clinical and office functions within the department. You will provide direct patient contact, help maintain office systems, and assist in various clinical procedures while ensuring patient confidentiality.

This role also involves clerical tasks, scheduling, and general staff support, with flexibility for varied hours as needed in an oncology setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Certification as Medical Assistant required.
• CPR certification required; 3–5 years’ experience in administrative/medical setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and transcription; strong typing skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists with direct patient care and clinical assessments.
• Provides office support: typing, scheduling, forms processing.
• Monitors clinical equipment and supplies; protects patient confidentiality.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
