Job summary

TriHealth Bethesda North Hospital is seeking an Acute Care Technician for the Medical-Surgical Oncology unit on a part‑time night shift. The 44‑bed unit provides care for cardiothoracic, abdominal, vascular, GI, women’s health, and oncology patients, offering a strong educational environment and opportunities to master advanced clinical skills.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Reading and math ability appropriate to the position.
• Experience as an STNA, PCA or ACT strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents basic patient care tasks under RN supervision; maintains competency in trained skills and completes assignments on time.
• Maintains a safe, clean environment by reporting hazards and following infection control policies.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and team members; reports information promptly and documents observations accurately.
• Supports unit operations by performing supply, equipment, and environmental tasks; reports shortages and ensures supplies are ready for the next user.
• Demonstrates accountability and commitment to self‑growth and unit changes.
