Job summary

Methodist Hospital Stone Oak, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Oncology Med‑Surg unit. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team and physicians.

You will assess patients on admission and during shifts, administer meds, document care, educate patients and families, and support ongoing oncology care with compassion. Oncology certifications encouraged; growth and teamwork are valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or bachelor’s degree nursing program.
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience as a licensed RN.
• Current Texas RN license or Multistate Compact license with TN TX licensure within 60 days.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition at admission and during shifts, reporting changes promptly.
• Administer medications, monitor responses, and document care in the medical record.
• Provide exceptional care, responding to patient requests and anticipating needs.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment plan, meds, and follow-up.
