Job summary

Methodist Hospital Metropolitan is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team. You will assess patients, administer medications, document care, and advocate for patients and families while upholding our standards of practice.

Responsibilities include patient assessment on admission and each shift, timely documentation, medication administration, education, and ensuring a safe, compassionate care experience.

Qualifications

• BCLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• RN license required (RN).
• Education: RN Diploma, or Associate, or Bachelor's Degree in nursing.
• No travel required.
• Minimum 6 months of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each shift, promptly identifying and reporting changes.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and document care in the medical record.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and manage adverse events.
• Provide exceptional care by promptly responding to patient requests and anticipating needs.
• Educate patients and families about the condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects and follow-up measures.
