BillionToOne, a leader in precision diagnostics, seeks a Senior Laboratory Director, Oncology in Menlo Park, CA, to oversee daily operations of a high-complexity oncology clinical lab. The role reports to the SVP of Laboratory Operations and combines leadership with regulatory accountability.

The successful candidate will manage headcount, budget, and strategic initiatives, including assay development and automation, while ensuring timely, accurate reporting and strict adherence to CLIA, CAP,

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in genetics or molecular biology with board certification.
• CA Clinical Laboratory Director license eligibility.
• 7+ years in a regulated clinical lab, 4+ years in molecular oncology testing including NGS.
• Experience building oncology assays and data interpretation.
• Leadership of teams in high-growth settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead oncology laboratory organization including heads and supervisors.
• Own the oncology lab budget and P&L.
• Improve throughput and TAT with process automation.
• Lead onboarding of new assays and equipment.
• Oversee variant interpretation and report sign-out.
• Ensure CLIA, CAP, NYSDOH compliance.
