Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Lab Supervisor in Baltimore, MD to lead the Oncology section, ensuring high-quality testing and efficient resource use. You will oversee staff, schedule non-routine procedures and drive performance within the department.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology and at least five years of laboratory experience, with preference for prior Quest Diagnostics supervisory experience.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and lab information systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee department activities, assign work, set priorities and schedule procedures.
• Supervise staff including interviewing, hiring, training and performance coaching.
• Perform advanced/specialized tests and validate results, re-evaluate methods as needed.
• Check/approve specialized reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Implement quality control measures and monitor adherence to lab standards.
• Perform duties of technologist during absences or peak workload.
• Complete special projects andPrepare reports and studies as required.
• Maintain safe, clean laboratory areas and equipment.
