Job summary

The ideal candidate has a BS in Medical Technology or a related field, with clinical experience in high complexity testing and strong proficiency in laboratory safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• 1 year clinical experience with high complexity testing preferred.
• MLS / Medical Laboratory Scientist titles recognized in the field.

Responsibilities

• Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing, analyses, reporting, and recording patient results.
• Maintain records showing proficiency testing samples are tested like patient specimens.
• Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures.
• Review and release test results.
• Comply with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines.
• Follow policies when test systems are outside acceptable performance levels.
• Identify and communicate issues affecting test performance or results.
