Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Lab Supervisor to oversee the Oncology department, ensuring efficient use of staff and equipment from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. You will direct testing procedures, maintain quality standards and supervise staff within budgetary constraints.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Medical Technology (or related field) and at least five years of full-time lab experience, with preferences for prior Quest Diagnostics supervisory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Medical Technology or related field (Required).
• Minimum five years full-time laboratory experience.
• Preferred: Previous experience as a Supervisor at Quest Diagnostics.
• Ability to supervise, plan, organize, and direct department workflow.
• Proficiency with laboratory information systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee department activities, assign work, determine priorities, and schedule procedures.
• Perform supervisory functions including interviewing, hiring, training, and staff development.
• Perform and evaluate advanced/specialized tests; reassess methodologies and test results.
• Check and approve specialized reports; initiate quality-control measures.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and lab safety requirements.
• Maintain clean, safe lab conditions and assist during peak workload.
