Summary

The Oncology Key Account Director (OKAD) role within Oncology Business Unit Operations is a critical field-based role within the Oncology Commercial team. The position reports to the Director of OBU Operations, Oncology Business Unit, and supports the OBU marketing, field, and cross-functional leadership teams. The role aims to support the OBU’s commercial objectives and enable access, partnership, and pull-through with key customer accounts. The OKAD will serve as an enabler within top accounts, identifying their interests and integrating them into Ipsen’s key account strategies and new Cross Functional Key Account Model.

Main Responsibilities / Job Expectations
  1. Understand, map, and share patient & customer journey pain points with Ipsen stakeholders for top Oncology accounts.
  2. Establish an understanding of decision-making processes and workflows within each top account.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with c-suite leadership at top accounts.
  4. Understand and lead objectives, success metrics, and pain points of each top account.
  5. Identify potential areas of synergy between Ipsen and each top account.
  6. Set clear business objectives for each top account in collaboration with OBU and cross-functional partners.
  7. Support EMR, internal pathway, formulary, and related processes within each top account.
  8. Develop and lead an integrated Oncology approach for Ipsen’s Oncology portfolio, leveraging resources in support of top accounts.
  9. Use data and analytics to support decision-making.
  10. Support effective key account management processes.
  11. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support third-party pathways workstreams.
  12. Set standards for cross-functional collaboration and serve as a role model for customer-centricity.
  13. Drive transparency, candor, and accountability within the team.
  14. Support and execute critical initiatives (branded and non-branded) for the OBU.
  15. Ensure compliance with all policies, industry guidelines, and applicable laws.
Knowledge, Abilities & Experience
  1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; Scientific Degree and/or MBA preferred.
  2. Extensive pharmaceutical experience, preferably in US Oncology.
  3. Experience managing sales or commercial teams.
  4. Experience as an account lead engaging with c-suite executives.
  5. Proven success in creating non-branded opportunities and strategic relationships.
  6. Strong understanding of health systems and engagement with decision-makers.
  7. Deep knowledge of oncology and/or hematology.
  8. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  9. Ability to manage multiple projects and work cross-functionally.
  10. Strong analytical skills and experience with business analytics tools.
  11. Proven track record of successful project delivery and results.
  12. Excellent presentation skills for internal and external stakeholders.
  13. Willingness to travel extensively domestically.

The annual base salary range for this position is $160,000 - $230,000. The role is eligible for a short-term incentives program. Ipsen offers a comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k), health coverage, life and disability insurance, parental leave, paid time off, and more.
