Job summary

OHC is seeking an experienced Admixture/Pharmacy Technician to join our Eastgate practice. You will assist with preparation of medication orders by compounding or admixing under physician supervision and support nurses in delivering advanced cancer treatments.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and 3–5 years of IV pharmacy experience; IV certification is preferred but not required, with a Pharmacy Technician credential recommended. Competitive benefits and career growth are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a pharmacy with IV skills.
• IV certification preferred but not required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate or State Pharmacy Board requirement recommended.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the preparation of medication orders by compounding or admixing medications under supervision of a physician.
• Checks all orders for completeness of information; verifies patient information and proper physician authorization.
• Under direct supervision, admixes drugs as ordered by physician in an accurate and timely manner per department guidelines.
• Calculates correct dosage volumes, converting between metric and apothecary equivalents.
• Maintains temperature logs and records for protocol drugs and patient assistance drugs.
• Provides support with inventory control of medications and basic data entry into department automation.
