Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Oncology/Infusion Center to provide direct patient care, administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions to adult oncology patients. This role requires an active RN license and BLS certification.

We offer a full-time day shift (7a–7p, 12-hour shifts) with a competitive compensation range and a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates. Oncology certification and a BSN are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS (AHA) certification upon hire.
• Oncology Nursing Certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting.
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management.
• Ensure adherence to oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols.
• Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care.

Education

Current and valid state RN License

BLS (AHA) certification

Oncology Nursing Certification (preferred)

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (preferred)
