Job summary

Greater Washington Oncology Associates in Silver Spring seeks an RN Infusion Specialist for part-time infusion and patient care, including labs review, dose verification, and administration per JBIs. You will educate patients, document care in EMR, and triage calls while supporting multi-site operations.

Responsibilities include safe chemotherapy administration, vital signs assessment, and active collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree is required.
• Unencumbered RN license in state of employment or multi-state license.
• Current CPR and BLS certifications.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations.
• Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital setting.
• Fluent English with excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, supportive care, and non-oncologic agents.
• Educate patients and caregivers about medications, side effects and planned treatment.
• Document treatment in the EMR thoroughly and timely.
• Triage calls and messages from patients and caregivers and respond appropriately.
• Assist with inventory and restocking of medical supplies; travel to other clinic locations as needed.
