Job summary

UNC Health Care's Garner Oncology Infusion Center is seeking an energetic RN with oncology and infusion therapy expertise to join our team. This full-time role supports patient care in a dedicated cancer care setting, with on-site chemotherapy education, social work, and a state-of-the-art infusion suite.

You will provide nursing care guided by professional standards, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and participate in ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as an RN in North Carolina (or eligible).

Responsibilities

• Education - Attends education programs and assesses readiness to learn.
• Evaluation of Care - Identifies outcomes and coordinates with the interdisciplinary team.
• Implementation - Delivers care for patients with complex needs in infusion/oncology.
• Leadership - Participates in unit goals, performance improvement and cost-effective care.
• Patient Assessment - Prioritizes and plans care with patient/family.
• Planning - Collaborates on care plans with multidisciplinary resources.
• Research - Engages with relevant journals and evidence-based practice.
