Job summary

UNC Rex Healthcare's Garner Oncology Infusion Center is seeking an energetic RN with oncology and infusion therapy experience to join the team in Garner, NC. The clinic operates Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, onsite, offering chemotherapy education, social work, lab, and infusion services.

The role provides competent nursing care, coordinates patient care using the nursing process, and requires NC RN licensure and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed RN in North Carolina.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Education - identifies learning needs and provides patient education.
• Evaluation of care - assesses outcomes and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team.
• Implementation - cares for oncology infusion patients with complex needs and follows policies.
• Leadership - supports unit goals and improvement initiatives and communicates with the team.
• Patient assessment - collects data, plans care, and supports discharge planning.
• Planning - collaborates to update care plans and coordinate resources.
