Job summary

UNC Health’s Garner Oncology Infusion Center is hiring an energetic RN with oncology and infusion experience to join our team. The clinic offers on-site chemotherapy education, social work, lab, and an infusion suite; hours are Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm.

You will provide nursing care in a hospital setting, coordinate patient care using the nursing process, and collaborate with the Nurse Manager/Director to ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date.
• Current RN license to practice in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Education: participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self and patients.
• Evaluation of Care: participates in evaluation of patient care with interdisciplinary team.
• Implementation: provides care for patients with complex problems following standards and policies.
• Leadership: supports unit goals and performance improvement activities.
• Patient Assessment: assesses data to determine priorities for care and discharge needs.
• Planning: collaborates to update the plan of care and coordinates resources.
• Research: engages with current articles to inform practice.
